line and shape
I chose to take photo #3 at Jaswell's Farm in Smithfield, Rhode Island while I was apple picking. I chose to take a picture of 2 apples hanging off of a tree branch. I was relatively close to the apples when I took that photo. I was below the two apples when this photo was taken. Photograph #3 was taken horizontally. I did consider the rule of thirds when I was taking this photo and I placed the apple a little left to the center to make the shot more interesting. Photograph #1 leads the viewers eye through the photograph.
Pattern and texture
Photo number 2 is my best picture because of the texture of the rug and contrast of light and dark values. I was somewhat close when I took photo number 2. I took photo number 2 from above. The photo was taken horizontally. This photo does follow the rule of thirds because the grid lines up with the rug. This photo is an example of pattern and texture because of the pattern on the rug and the pattern the light forms on the rug. The texture of the rug is visible so it is an example of texture.
Photo number 3 is properly exposed because there is a good range of dark and light values.
